I would like to talk to you today about
living life to its fullness. Do not be
satisfied with watching others live. A
young college student said, “My family
does not live, they merely exist.” Night
after night, my dad and family sit in front
of the television, watching others live.”
We never live ourselves.” That young man
decided he would never live like that.
The Apostle Paul tells us, if you have been
raised up with Christ, and we have, then
you should seek the higher way. In our
day of the Spectator, we enjoy life
‘second-handedly’ through the eyes of
others. We watch others worship and
serve God. God calls on you to live your
life, not in the bleachers and not as a
spectator, but as a participant. God has a
plan for each of us. He says, “I alone
know the plans I have for you, to bring
you prosperity and not disaster, but plans
to bring about the future you hope for.”
Start today by going after the spiritual
desires that God has placed in your heart.
Unclutter your mind and life from
distraction. Make room for the things of
God. Cultivate and express new qualities
and desires. Fall in love with God’s Word
again. Jesus admonished us, “Let not
your hearts become Lukewarm. Forsake
not the assembling of yourselves
together.”
Father, give me the desires and courage
to become a new creation in Christ Jesus
today.
Amen.
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. John 10:10 KJV
