Lord Send Someone Else

Uniquely prepared from a young age

Saved from destruction

Set apart in bulrushes

Raised in pharaoh’s house

Educated in egyptian ways

He was no ordinary child

Moses was Hebrew

He stood up for the abused

He fled to Midian when accused

Approached by God in the burning bush

With a mission he couldn’t refuse

Supplied with miraculous signs

Using only the staff he had

God promised to help him speak

God promised to teach

But Moses didn’t trust

And God’s anger did burn

Lord Send Someone Else

Was Moses’ response

What about you?

How has He prepared you?

What has He taught you?

How has He supplied you?

What has He asked of you?

You are the one He chose

I hope that He is happy with you

I trust that you don’t pray

Lord Send Someone Else

The Lord said to him, “Who placed a mouth on humans? Who makes a person mute or deaf, seeing or blind? Is it not I, the Lord? Now go! I will help you speak and I will teach you what to say.” Moses said, “Please, Lord, send someone else.” Then the Lord’s anger burned against Moses, and he said, “Isn’t Aaron the Levite your brother? I know that he can speak well. And also, he is on his way now to meet you. He will rejoice when he sees you. Exodus 4:11-14 CSB

Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. John 15:16 KJV
