Israel was guilty of double iniquity
On one level they had departed their God
And fled to foreign idols
They abandoned His laws
And reaped injustice
Yes, they consumed the whole harvest
But on another level
They leaned on their own understanding
They placed their faith in their strength
Believed in their military
This was their futile plan to avoid discipline
Without doubt their plan was flawed
God loved enough to correct
So let’s learn from their misstep
Don’t be guilty
Of Double Iniquity
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Prov 3:5-6 KJV
Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God. Psalm 20:7 KJV
