What’s Your Lure?

Saw a fisherman fish last night

He had a lure that could dance

When he pulled it just right

It wiggled and moved to please

Skimmed the water with ease

Glimmering with glee

Pleasing to the sight

Smelling just right

Sound of distress

Appeared an easy catch

Natural senses to appeal

But hooks were concealed

Barbs for those who dared

A line attached to control

But wasn’t the LINE or LURE that harmed

T’was the control of the one who held the pole

What’s Your Lure?

But each person is tempted when he is drawn away and enticed by his own evil desire. Then after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin, and when sin is fully grown, it gives birth to death.  James 1:14-15 CSB

Be sober-minded, be alert. Your adversary the devil is prowling around like a roaring lion, looking for anyone he can devour.  1 Peter 5:8 CSB
