Seeking Answers to Life

For most people, believers or not,

Christmas is a time to seek answers to

life’s questions. Sometimes we wonder,

“Why am I here, why are we born and

die.” For most questions, only God has

the answers. But one thing I know, God

loves us so much that His Son was born

two thousand years ago and paid in full

the gift of peace for His children. God

would have done that for you and me if

we had been the only persons on earth. I

take comfort to hear Christ say, “But now

in Christ Jesus you who were sometimes

far off are made near by the blood of

Christ.” That promise is for everyone.

1 Peter 2:13

One Sunday afternoon, just as the

evening service was starting, one of our

young men came in and asked, “Pastor,

will you come to see my Granny? She has

been incoherent and restless all day.”

As I walked into her room, she at once

became quiet in spirit and I heard her

say, “The pastor is here.” Jesus is the true

Pastor of our heart and soul. Even in the

Presence of death, He gives Peace. If you

are searching for more faith, our Lord

gives enough faith for the burdens of the

day. When you face tomorrow’s problems

you will find that your faith is sufficient.

Jesus has the answer to every need for the

believer. Praise Him for that Gift of

Peace.

Father, thank you for your gift of faith

even before we ask.

Amen

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.  John 14:27 KJV
