I would like to talk to you today about
redeeming the time. It matters not
whether time was measured on a $10
pocket watch or a $2000 grandfather
clock. We cannot stop the minutes, we
cannot store them, and we cannot turn
them back. The exciting part is that you
have the same amount of time to be
treasured or wasted as the President or
the Queen of England.
The dictionary defines time as a fixed
moment, as an appointed season, or an
opportunity. Too often, we as believers,
are led around by the hands of the clock.
We hurry from one event to another. Will
you be able at the end of the day to stand
back and measure today’s activities against
the vastness of eternity? What will be your
contribution?
While the day is yet young, look back at
what you hope to accomplish today. Write
it on paper. Include God in your day, whether
it is a phone call, or to share with someone
that God loves them. Pray for someone who
has a spiritual need or help someone with a
material need. Moments that you give to
another or spend with the Lord will never be
lost or wasted.
Father, may the moments that you have
granted me today count in eternity.
Amen.
So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. Psalm 90:12 KJV
See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Ephesians 5:15-16 KJV
