Persistent Debt

Student debt is persistent in nature

It follows you around

And insists to be paid

Bankruptcy does not dissuade

Until the grave someone will pay

Sin is even more extreme

It clings and follows around

There’s a dreadful price to pay

If we die in our sins

We have eternity to pay

But there’s no way to satisfy debt

On that side of the grave

In this life there is a way

That sin can be separated from me

Thrown into the sea

As far as the east is from the west

Remembered no more

I’m free at last

Yes Jesus paid the deadly price

With His spotless life

A willing sacrifice

He satisfied my debt

He is Savior and Lord

Now what I owe is love

Love is my

Persistent Debt

Do not owe anyone anything, except to love one another, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. Romans 13:8 CSB

He erased the certificate of debt, with its obligations, that was against us and opposed to us, and has taken it away by nailing it to the cross. Colossians 2:14 CSB

Who needs to hear this?
