I would like to talk to you today about the
overflowing life. Does it not feel great to
stand under a cool shower of water when
the weather is hot? How refreshing! But
have you ever felt that spiritual dryness
within your soul?
Jesus said, “Out of your innermost being
shall flow streams of living water,” but it
does not always come. Instead,
discouragement, unhappiness, and grief
dry up the wells of our soul. If this is your
problem today, believe that God will
again send the healing streams. Rest in
His presence’ Isaiah 40:31 tells us “They
that wait upon the Lord shall renew their
strength.”
Find a friend with whom you can pray,
someone whose well is fresh and
sparkling with excitement, allow Jesus to
speak to you from His word again.
Remember that your faith does not rest in
feelings, but in His unshakable character.
Do not grow weary in well- doing. God
has not forsaken you. Perhaps He is only
seeking to draw you closer to himself.
Allow his joy and strength to flow into
your soul again. King David cried, “My
soul thirsted for God, for the Living God:
When shall I come and appear before
God?’ Psalm 42:2. He is unchanging.
Father, pour out the water of your Spirit
on us who thirst today.
Amen.
He that
believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers
of living water. John 7:38 KJV
