Elisha’s servant was distressed
He was confused by horses and soldiers
And all that he observed
But Elisha prayed and the truth was displayed
Chariots of fire truly outnumbered
The reality was really the reverse
Of what the servant previously observed
The servant’s eyes were opened
And the soldiers’ eyes obscured
We too are surrounded by allies
Incredible forces
If God is for us, who is against us?
The battle belongs to the Lord
That’s His name
Than the one who is in the world
In this world we will have trouble
But Jesus has overcome the world!
The gates of Hell shall not prevail!
Against the offense of the cross
Oh if only we could see
We believe
Open Our Eyes!
And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha. 2 Kings 6:17 KJV
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31 KJV
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1 KJV
And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. 2 Kings 6:16 KJV
