Judas

He picked you!

He called you friend

He walked with you

Miracles without end

You felt the storms

You heard the meanings

You tasted the meals

You picked up the baskets

You watched from His side

He did not hide

He washed your feet

Yes, you were there

But you smelled the money

Perfume to your senses

You picked your treasure

You chose your side

Satan, he did abide

You were not cleaned

You chose the thirty

Your hand in the dish

Handed Him over with a kiss

You lifted your heel

He went away but not to stay

Death couldn’t keep Him

He arose ‘ore His foes!

Death is defeated!

Satan is crushed!

Captivity is captive!

He will return just as He said

Away you went

A little remorse

Died in your sins

No wedding clothes

No forgiveness

No Savior

No end

Choked by the weeds

Depart from me!

Rather lose that hand?

What about your eye?

Wish you had never been born?

Judas

Jesus replied to them, “Didn’t I choose you, the Twelve? Yet one of you is a devil.” He was referring to Judas, Simon Iscariot’s son, one of the Twelve, because he was going to betray him. John 6:70-71 CSB

So immediately he went up to Jesus and said, “Greetings, Rabbi!” and kissed him. “Friend,” Jesus asked him, “why have you come?” Matthew 26:49-50 CSB
