I Beg Your Pardon

Thanksgiving season is upon us

The President has just pardoned the turkeys

They will now avoid a death sentence

And will live out their life with ease

A pardon is used to excuse an offense

For which the offender no longer

Will be on the defense

However, courts have ruled to be valid

Pardons must not only be granted

But also accepted

Believe it or not

A pardon can be rejected

If that’s the case

The offender’s guilt remains

And they are still held liable

For offenses committed

Why would someone refuse?

I haven’t a clue

All I know is that it’s your choice

The move is yours

The scepter has been extended

A pardon has been issued

It has your name on it

It came at a cost

It removes all guilt

Accept Him before it’s too late

Believe that He is God’s Son

Repent of what you’ve done

Confess that He is Christ

Be declared righteous!

I Beg Your Pardon

For thy name’s sake, O Lord, pardon mine iniquity; for it is great. Psalm 25:11 KJV

And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, whereby they have sinned against me; and I will pardon all their iniquities, whereby they have sinned, and whereby they have transgressed against me. Jeremiah 33:8 KJV

Who needs to hear this?
