I would like to talk to you today about
handling success. Solomon concluded
that he did not want to be poor for fear
he would rob, and he did not want to
be rich for fear he would forget God.
Saint John prayed that God’s children
would prosper and be in good health as
well as prosperity of soul. If you have
prospered, be sure and give God the glory
for your success. Do not be embarrassed
to receive compliments. Do not hesitate to
give the credit to others.
Henry J Kaiser, the Great Industrious King,
was asked the secret of his success, to which
He replied, “Oh, success does not belong to
me. I only have successful people working for
me.” Some have the wrong concept of
success. They feel that they must apologize
for God’s blessings. Jesus taught that through
hard work and wise dealings, that our talents
would bring an increase. God has blessed you
with more than your daily provisions that
you might give to those who have need today.
Do not be afraid to give to others. It is
possible to hold on too tightly and lose it all.
The liberal man shall be rich. “By watering
others, he waters himself.” God blesses us for
one purpose; that we might be a blessing to
others. Whatever your wealth, give God the
thanks. Do you have anything that does not
have its source in Him?
Father, thank you for abundant provisions,
that I might see the needs of others.
Amen.
I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour. 1 Corinthians 3:6-8 KJV
