God’s Presence

I would like to talk to you today about the

importance of a powerline to God. In

Washington, DC, there is a hotline that

connects the White House with the

Kremlin. Immediate exchange of

communications is available to either

party twenty-four hours a day, seven

days a week, 365 days of the year. God

has an open circuit something like that

on a heavenly telephone with you.

Sometime ago, Chicago had two major

air disasters in the space of about two

weeks. The second one, a Florida bound

jet, brought sudden death to the thirty-eight

men, women, and children aboard. At Florida

airport, Arthur Post waited for his wife

and children to arrive. When news of the

crash came to those waiting at the Tampa

terminal, Arthur Post dropped unashamedly

to his knees and began praying for the safety

of his family. A picture was taken from the

news with his head in his hands, kneeling

beside the ticket counter begging God for

His help.

Later, news did reach Mr. Post that his

family was safe. They had missed the flight

because of car trouble on the way to the

airport. What they thought was an

inconvenient misfortune proved to be

God’s divine intervention. As His child,

you have immediate help in time of trouble.

A favorite Bible verse in Isaiah promises

that “Even before you call, I will answer.”

Share with Christ Jesus the burdens of your

heart.

Father, let prayer always be a forethought in

my Christian life and not an afterthought.

Amen.

And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.  Isaiah 65:24 KJV

Who needs to hear this?
