I would like to talk to you today about
God’s Grace being sufficient. We are born
to ask questions. Sometimes, God does
not answer our questions. The Apostle
Paul sought the Lord three times for the
removal of a thorn in his flesh. (2
Corinthians 12:6-9). But the only answer
from God was “My grace is sufficient.”
Being a Christian does not insulate any of
us that we should be free from trials, tests
and disappointments that are common to
man. There are many unanswered
questions in life.
Remember Job? He became God’s
‘exhibit A’ to Satan. God desires to prove
that his grace is sufficient. Often, we have
unanswered questions. Have you asked,
“Why me, Lord?” Commit your needs to
Him. When God does not give answers,
he gives more grace.
King David uttered the very cry of our
hearts when he prayed “He knows my
frame and. He remembers that I am
dust.” (Psalm 103: 14) He promised King
David that the angel of the Lord encamps
about those that fear Him and will deliver
them. How often we miss the wisdom and
beauty of God’s design for our life. We
look at the underside of the pattern he
weaves while he sees only the upper side.
His grace is sufficient, and he has
promised not to put more upon us than
we can bear.
Father, teach me to accept
disappointments as promises of
something far better for me today.
Amen.
For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 2 Corinthians 12:8-9 KJV
