A divorce decree is normally
A sad display of separate ways
But I am pleased to say
That sin is divorced from me
We have parted ways
Estranged and separated
Away from me
I can’t take credit
And I still mess up
I’m not perfected yet
But I am forgiven
(Contemplate this- But not all of you)
God’s Word says that my sin was scarlet
But is now white as snow
It was red like crimson
But is now like wool
It has been cast into the sea
It is out of reach from me
As far as the east is from the west
For all eternity
It is out of sight
Never again to see the light
It is forgotten blotted clean
I’m free
Never seen
Never reached
We’ve parted ways
Good riddance
Divorced From Sin
“Come, let’s settle this,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are scarlet, they will be as white as snow; though they are crimson red, they will be like wool. Isaiah 1:18 CSB
“One who has bathed,” Jesus told him, “doesn’t need to wash anything except his feet, but he is completely clean. You are clean, but not all of you.” John 13:10 CSB
